We’ve joined forces with our friends at 10:25 Vintage, a New York-based operation with a shared enthusiasm for interesting vintage timepieces, to bring you a robust handpicked collection that is both exceptional and affordable. Perfect for the discerning collector on a budget, these pieces provide an excellent entry point to the joys of vintage watches.
One of the things we love about vintage watches is the history of the brands, and few brands can compete with Girard-Perregaux in that department. Dating back to the late 1700's, Girard-Perregaux has a rich history and has been pretty underrepresented in modern collecting, if you ask us.
Girard Perregaux has a history of innovation, including pioneering efforts in early wrist watches, and invaluable contributions to the engineering of one of our least favorite technical innovations- the quartz movement.
Like many other brands, GP worked hard during the 1940’s to build simple, robust watches that could be worn day-to-day. Combining waterproof and shockproof cases with classic looks and proportions, the Sea Hawk line mirrors the classic Omega Seamaster not only in purpose, but in design. Dating to the 1960’s, this Sea Hawk sports handsome 33mm case, a beautiful sunburst silver dial with applied markers, and syringe hands. This particular example comes to us not only in nice, lightly worn condition, but includes the original box, guarantee papers, and instruction manual.
With timeless looks, an amazing brand history, and a hard-to-find full kit, this Girard-Perregaux presents a tremendous value to any collector looking for something just under the radar.
